This list is according to Reuters, CNBC and Forbes.

Below is a list of 10 countries without armed forces. Each of them with variable reasons why; some because of the country’s history other because of its location. Whereas many of us believe that a military force is a necessity, there are countries that see or have no need for them; but, in many cases, there is a back-up plan in the case that the country is attacked or war is declared upon that country.
Japan is not included in this list because, while the country may officially have no military according to Article 9 of its Constitution, it does have the Japan Self-Defence Forces, a military force for national territory defence that may only be deployed outside Japan for UN peacekeeping missions.

The 1966 World Cup FIFA Final between England and West Germany is one of the most famous football scandal. World Cup was held in England from 11 to 30 July. The most celebrated moment in England’s football history was clouded by doping scandal. Three players of the England Football Team were accused of taking drugs for winning. Drug testing was done on all the members before the finals. This World Cup Final also gave us the most controversial goal in the Football World Cup history. Geoff Hurst’s shot on the goal which hit the top cross bar, then bounced down inside the goal and bounced back out of the goal again. It was considered to be a goal but to this day also it is not sure whether the goal was legal or not.

Bloodgate is a famous rugby scandal which accused Harlequins to fake an injury by using fake blood capsules. This scandal took place on 12 April 2009 in Heineken Cup. Tom Williams who played for Harlequins helped him in this scandal by allowing a blood replacement to be brought at the critical moment. Williams was banned for four months and the head coach Dean Richards was banned for three years from sports as a consequence of this scandal. He later resigned from his post. It was also reported that Harlequins had escaped being thrown out of the Heineken Cup.

Lance Armstrong is considered as one of the best cyclist of all times. He was accused of taking administered drugs in order to improve and enhance his sporting performance. Lance Armstrong consistently denied all these allegations of doping which were couched on him. But on 17 and 18 January, 2013 in an interview with Oprah Winfrey he confessed that he was using performance enhancing drugs and he also told that he had been using these banned drugs throughout much of his cycling career and most recently in 2005. He confessed that he had doped erythropoietin and human growth hormone in his blood. Because of these drugs he won each of the seven Tour De France. USADA had declared that Lance Armstrong will be banned from sports for the rest of his life and he will also be called for sacrifice of any medals, titles, winnings, finishes, points and prizes that he won in events where he has been subsequently disqualified. Armstrong is still fighting to avoid paying back his prize money.
